The Carpenter Family

This Internet site has been established to exchange photographs and information about the branch of the Carpenter family based in and around Frome in the county of Somerset. It is managed, purely for personal interest, by Paul Carpenter, born in Frome in 1949.

The site provides a compilation of photographs and documents relating to the family. Information has been obtained from the online England and Wales census data and from the births, deaths and marriages archive of the General Registry Office. I have used the PC based Family Tree Maker software to record and organise family data and the ancestry.co.uk web site as my main method of access to public records data.

We should be pleased to hear from any other members of this branch of the Carpenter family or from any other branches that may be related. Because a key member of this family was born Joseph Henry Moody in 1865, and later took the Carpenter name of his adoptive father, I would also be pleased to have any information about the Moody family based in Corsley.
